Shirtsleeve Order?

Hi,

First of all thanks for all the pictures we've been having a good look at them.

One question we had though was did the CSLA have a 'shirtsleeve order'?

I'll expalin. In the British Army when it's hot you can be allowed to take your jacket off and roll up your shirt sleeves But still wear the equipment for the job you are doing, for example, combat order.

We wondered if the CSLA had something similar?

Thanks for your question.

According uniform regulations from 1980

With field uniform 60 was allowed:
- unfasten upper buttons of jacket and arrange open-necked shirt
- put away cap and belt, take off a jacket, possibly shirt in military area during hard job.
- lift up a collar as a protection against rain nad wind
Using shirt without jacket was not allowed during guard duty.

With service uniform 62 and 63 was allowed:
- arrange open-necked shirt in military training areas, barracks, offices, classrooms.
- put away cap, belt and shirt if it is required by character of job
